I came back from my nan's on Friday, had a lovely time! As always, I love seeing her. And man, you guys have been busy whilst I've been away! I've finally caught up on my messages and deviations. So! What's going on? What have I missed?

I won't be on dA during the week cos I'm going to my nan's! I've got the week off and I'm heading up tomorrow. Going to stop of at my friend's house and see her little boy, who calls me Aunt Zo-Zo Then will be staying with nan for the rest of the week. Can't wait to see her, she's in a new house now and I haven't seen it yet.

Other than that, been super busy! Yesterday, we went to our friend's wedding which was nice And in the evening, we went to Nick and Ali's engagement party. And today we went to see my sister as it's her 13th birthday and it's almost mine and Chris's 3rd anniversary today 3 years! Bloody hell! We went over to my parents this afternoon for my sister's birthday but I was told that we were not to stay past 3 because it's "a birthday party for little girls". Now, my sister already told me that she wanted us there, but what mum says goes. We had an argument over it and sadly ended up leaving earlier but if I'd have stayed any longer, I would have said or done something that I regretted. Why is my mum always such a silly bint?! Why can't I even stay for my little sister's birthday? I don't have any other siblings, she's the only one I have.

And we had some crazy family shit news today. I've always been jealous of Chris's family because they're so perfect. They have big family parties, they talk together, meet up regularly, have good times...my family never does any of that stuff. But today we found out that Chris's Uncle Ian has been having an affair for 10 years. Auntie Maria (Ian's wife) is distraught and she won't let him back in the house right now and understandably so. She has been battling breast cancer over the past few years and he's been busy leading a double life because not only has he been having an affair for 10 years, he had a reverse vasectomy so he could have a child with the other woman and it turns out he has a 3 year old. Chris is fuming. We think the world of Maria, and not only has Ian lied to her but he's lied to the whole family and Chris's family is pretty big. Chris was almost in tears and said that he doesn't want Ian in our house and has deleted his number from his phone. I don't know how it's all going to pan out but it won't be easy going. 10 years worth of lies and a 3 year old child is a lot to make up for.

Anyway, I'm off to see my nan from tomorrow like I said, so I'll deal with you bitches when I get back

Today, something triggered in my brain. I used to have a massive lack of confidence, both about the way I looked and the way I was. A lot of it was based on things that happened to me, for example, having a psycho mother who constantly told me I was fat, stupid and completely worthless. I sexually abused a few years ago by someone who would not take no for an answer. I have been abused mentally in a previous relationship, where I was made to feel completely shit. These are just a few things and I've had my fair share of bad stuff since I was 11 years old. I always believed that I wasn't worth anything. It's only been over the past few years that I can see that I am actually worth something, in fact to some people, I am their world. I used to hate my body so much. I'm not in love with it now but I am much happier than I was. I now celebrate my curves! I've never been a skinny chick, and I know I never will. It's not how I am. I can be sexy. I feel that now and I embrace it. I'm not obviously pretty but I don't think I'm bad. There was a time I could not stand to look at myself in the mirror, but now I can do it and look at myself and think "You're alright". Before, if someone had said to me "You're ugly and fat", I probably would have gone and cried myself to sleep. Honestly. But these days, I shake it off and smile, and you know why? Because I will not let the bastards grind me down. I am who I am and this is ME. I will not change for you to become "aesthetically pleasing" or to look like everyone else. I am happy with the way I look and the way I am. I am happy with my curves and I embrace them. If you don't, well, then that's your problem. I am, and always have been me and I am a firm believer in fate and karma, and I strongly believe that what goes around will certainly come around.

So after this typa-thon, I have decided that I'm going to get my first tattoo, and it won't be my Egyptian one as planned. I'll get that another time. I've done some research and I want something to do with karma and learning about the past. So I will be getting the African symbol called Sankofa tattooed, hopefully in the next few months. Horray! My boss has allowed me to take next week off, so that means by the time I get back, I'll have just 2 more weeks to work at my job before I start my new one!

So this weekend, we're very busy! On Saturday, we have a wedding to go to, which I am excited about! I love going to weddings, always such great photographic opportunities. And in the evening, we're going to Nick and Ali's engagement party. The next day, it's my sister's 13th birthday! And not only that, but it's mine and Chris's 3rd anniversary So busy busy busy! And next week when I'm off from work, I'm going up to visit my nan Can't wait to see her again! So it's all good.
